Main duties of the job
You'll work alongside a talented, multidisciplinary team and have the chance to develop and mentor highly skilled professionals within the service. Based in Northampton, you'll also enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, allowing you to provide in-person and remote support putting you at the heart of service innovation and growth.
About the Role:
This is a rare opportunity to take on a leadership role in a growing service. You will:
1. Lead with Impact: Oversee the clinical governance of the clinic, ensuring the highest quality patient care and helping steer the development of new services.
2. Make a Difference: Deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and tailored interventions, supporting individuals on their recovery journey with the latest therapeutic models.
3. Develop and Inspire: Lead a team of psychologists and clinicians, providing mentoring and professional development opportunities to enhance their practice.
4. Drive Innovation: Play a key role in developing services and expanding the clinic, including contributing to the launch of a new DBT community service in 2025.
5. Manage Complex Cases: Lead risk assessments and work with challenging cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients through compassionate, informed care.

The person:
We are looking for a Consultant Psychologist with experience in leading and developing clinical services in community and preferably private settings. Our aim as a charity is to improve the mental health of others and you will share our passion to find ways to make therapy accessible for the general public through a blend of innovative thinking and the following skills:
1. Clinical Expertise: Extensive experience in psychological assessments and interventions, with expertise in therapies such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Schema Therapy.
2. Leadership Vision: Proven experience managing clinical teams and mentoring professionals to achieve excellence in practice.
3. Commitment to Innovation: A passion for driving service expansion and delivery, helping shape the future of psychological care.
4. Risk Management Skills: Experience navigating complex clinical challenges and managing high-risk cases with care and professionalism.
5. HCPC Registration: Chartered Clinical/Forensic Psychologist status and a strong dedication to professional development and clinical governance.
6. Practical: Excellent communication and presentation skills both in person and electronically. A full UK driving license is essential.
