Job Summary
Direct Mini Mix Ltd are looking for an Office Assistant to join our team. Knowledge within the industry would be useful; however, training will be provided within the company. Full-time hours are available with a permanent role. We are a busy company with ever-expanding premises and are looking for someone as soon as possible.
You must be able to use a computer competently and be capable of using mathematics to work out invoice totals and VAT amounts (calculators are provided). A customer service-oriented and bubbly personality, along with the ability to keep up with a fast-paced environment, are essential qualities for this position.
You must be able to work weekdays (Monday - Friday) between the hours of 7:00/8:00 am - 16:30/17:00 pm. Please note that you will be expected to work through school holidays; if you have children, you will need to ensure you have childcare in place for their time off. The hourly rate will depend on experience.
Responsibilities
* Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring easy retrieval of documents.
* Handle incoming phone calls professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
* Sort and write invoices, and pair invoices together.
* Book jobs in via phone call or face-to-face in the office.
* Keep the office clean, tidy, and safe.
* Assist vehicles coming onto our site and operate the weighbridge.
* Book vehicles in for inspections, MOTs, and any necessary repair work.
* Record all information provided when vehicles enter our site.
* Provide duty of care for the vehicles entering our site.
Experience
* English language proficiency for health and safety reasons.
* Previous experience in an office environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
* Reliable with good timekeeping.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
* Strong typing skills and proficiency in data entry are required.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Customer service experience: 1 year (preferred).
* Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred).
Pay: £11.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
