If you are an Instrument and Control Technical Authority with experience of Oil & Gas projects then this could be for you. The role will primarily be based out of the UK however the project and these roles also includes the opportunity for regular travel to the OPF (based near Filyos, Türkiye). Wood's provision of Operations Assurance to TP-OTC, and the role of Discipline Technical Authorities, are critical to the safe and successful delivery of Türkiye's national production. We are looking for someone to come in and help continue the good work of upholding the strategy and standard for all technical aspects within I&C. You will look to provide assurance that those standards continue to be applicable and upheld as any changes occur. You will also be responsible for approving or rejecting any deviations away from defined standards.
This is a great opportunity to take up a role where occasional travel is required but primarily be based in the UK on a hybrid working basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the management of the major accident hazard risks in assigned area, supporting the increased awareness and visibility of major accident risk management and associated control measures ensuring workforce engagement. Must be able to travel to site.
2. Define the philosophy, strategy and standards for the assigned technical discipline ensuring industry best practice(s) are incorporated.
3. Accountable for reviewing and approving/rejecting deviations away from standards and the required risk mitigating measures when standards are not met.
4. Maintain an overview of the safe and correct operation of system(s) including review and approval of technical content of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operations and Maintenance Manuals, training courses and competency assessment materials.
5. Ensure that other relevant TAs are consulted when required and the impact of boundary issues between disciplines are managed.
6. Provide lead discipline incident investigation & technical support ensuring any related incidents are reported, classified, investigated and all associated lessons learned are captured and implementation tracked to conclusion to prevent re-occurrence.
7. Responsible for risk assessment & technical analysis/studies in support of the instrument discipline. Including acting as the informed customer for identification and co-ordination of specialist technical support/work packages (quality, cost & schedule) if required by external parties.
8. Ownership of issues, including those raised by any regulator/3rd party.
9. Monitor and analyse discipline and associated system performance identifying trends and areas that require improvement. Recommend action plans to achieve those improvements for processes, systems, equipment or technology, including cross asset learnings and adoption of best practice. Carry out reviews/audits as necessary to be able to compile an annual assessment of the discipline and assigned systems, including the accuracy of supporting information and data. Responsible for discipline self-assessment & summary in support of the Annual Management System review.
10. Ensuring clear demonstration that the technical discipline has the correct controls in-place in a lean, practical, effective and transparent manner.
11. Optimisation of approach and increasing reliability/efficiency across a diverse asset base.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Educated to degree level in a relevant technical engineering discipline.
* Sufficient & appropriate further qualifications/experience to be appointed as the Instrument Technical Authority.
* Preferred Chartered Engineer status.
