We are looking for a Specialist Dementia Service Lead to oversee a therapeutic 20-bedded dementia care community designed for individuals living with distress and complex needs. This is an opportunity to work within a specialist setting that priorities understanding the "why" behind each individual’s experience, fostering an approach where teams think and act differently to deliver truly person-centred care. You will also work alongside senior clinical professionals, including Professor Graham Stokes, a renowned leader in dementia care, contributing to the ongoing transformation of dementia services within social care.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide strong leadership and be a visible presence within the SDCC
* Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring high standards of care
* Oversee pre- and post-admission assessments and person-centred care plans
* Implement and monitor specialist therapeutic interventions for complex dementia care needs
* Advocate for residents' human rights and quality of life
* Collaborate with internal and external professionals to enhance service delivery
* Ensure compliance with Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, and Liberty Protection Safeguards
* Participate in service development discussions and promote the SDCC’s expertise
Candidate Requirements
* Significant experience in dementia care in a senior leadership role
* Background in social care, registered nursing (RMN/RGN/RNLD), occupational therapy, or clinical psychology
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with a Postgraduate qualification in dementia or a related field
* Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and dementia interventions
* Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
