Your Role: As a Self-Shooting Producer, you will be at the editorial heart of compelling content that both informs and engages audiences. You will be responsible for overseeing the video production process, including casting, filming, producing, and editing, to deliver high-quality video content for distribution across channels and platforms. You will also be expected to have experience with self-shooting on FS7, FX6, and FX9 cameras. Day to day you will: Lead a production team of Assistant Producers and Video Editors to develop, cast, produce, script, and edit-produce content. Work with the Commissioning Editor, Fabulous Originals, to ensure video episodes deliver on time and to budget. Pitching and developing new creative ideas to the Commissioning Editor to steer the brand toward new audiences to keep our series fresh and exciting, ensuring that The Sun stays ahead of the competition through innovation and excellence. Produce shooting briefs and scripts for series, leaning into your creative abilities to ensure each episode has a clear narrative and climax. Ensuring compliance and duty of care protocols are adhered to, and assisting the production department in maintaining the necessary paperwork. Target, develop, and manage new on-screen talent suitable for young, digital-first audiences. Self-shooting content, operating FS7, FX6, and FX9 cameras to capture high-quality footage. You’ll be responsible for setting up shots, ensuring excellent production quality, and troubleshooting on set to create the best possible visual output. Oversee the creative and technical aspects of shooting, from camera operation to lighting and sound, ensuring all content meets high editorial and production standards. Self-Shooting Experience : You have hands-on experience shooting with FS7, FX6, and FX9 cameras, with an understanding of the technical aspects of camera operation, lighting, and sound. Technical Proficiency : You’re comfortable handling camera gear and ensuring all footage is shot to the highest professional standards, troubleshooting any issues on set.
