We are seeking an outstanding Head of Physical Education to start in September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to lead an exceptional department with a sector-leading approach to the teaching of Physical Education and with the ambition to develop student engagement with the subject across all key stages. The role will include the opportunity to consolidate an already strong department, work with exceptionally well-qualified and passionate teachers, and to lead the PE department into its exciting future.
The Head of Department will provide leadership for the relevant Academy department, developing the quality of teaching and ensuring high quality learning takes place and that outstanding attainment and progress is secured at all key stages.

Qualifications:
* Qualified to at least degree level in the subject being taught.
* Qualified to teach in the UK.
* Qualified to work in the UK.
* QTS or equivalent
Experience:
* Ability to deliver consistently outstanding lessons in this subject to students of all ages and abilities.
* Proven record of significantly raising achievement with all groups of students across the age and ability range and of helping them achieve impressive examination outcomes.
* Proven commitment to continued professional development and a readiness to reflect and self-evaluate to change, improve and develop.
