About the Service
Located in Birmingham, 1101 Bristol Road is a specialist residential centre that provides continuing rehabilitation and specialist care and support for up to eight people with an acquired brain injury.
As a Team Leader, your main purpose will be to contribute and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for the people we support. You will lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of those we support are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.

Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The Team Leader is expected to be fully competent in all aspects of the Support Worker role.
2. Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to contribute to the positive reputation of the company.
3. Provide line management to a designated team of staff within a specified group at a location or group of locations within the allocated division.
4. Undertake any reasonable traveling requirements to fulfill the tasks and responsibilities of the role, including supporting other locations within the Division as required.
5. Set and communicate high standards of care and professional conduct within the supervised team.
6. Lead and support compliance with Brainkind quality audits.
7. Support health and safety duties as appropriate.
8. Contribute information for the accurate notification of incidents/accidents/safeguarding as appropriate.
9. Represent Brainkind at meetings and seminars, and other external events, where appropriate.
10. Contribute to effective liaison with stakeholders and external agencies, including local authorities, families, advocates, GPs, local safeguarding teams, and other professionals within Health and Social Care.
11. Monitor and be responsible for the day-to-day spending at the location, including Trust and service user monies.
12. Empower staff and service users to maintain a homely environment.
ABOUT YOU:
1. Previous experience of working as a Team Leader within a care/support environment is essential.
2. Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety, and food hygiene.
3. Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
4. Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable, able to prioritize, plan, and organize the workload.
