Bryn y Deryn & Cȃn y Deryn is Cardiff’s KS4 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) for 90 learners who have behavioural, emotional, mental health and social difficulties. We have recently moved to a new site in Lawrenny Avenue, Leckwith, Cardiff, CF11 8XB.

About the job
We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Headteacher to work alongside the existing assistant head and be part of the wider Senior Leadership Team based across both sites. The role will be mainly non-teaching.
What We Are Looking For From You
The successful applicant will work as part of a team and have significant previous experience of working with learners who have behaviour, social and mental health difficulties. They must be able to empathise and support learners’ difficulties, provide strategic direction, manage school resources, lead teaching and learning, secure accountability, and develop opportunities for collaboration.

Actual Salary Range: L6 - L10 (£54,316 - £59,990 per annum)
