We are a global manufacturer with sites across the UK supported by our regional IT function from our UK flagship plant We currently have an opportunity to join our IT Function at our Flagship plant in Golborne (WA3) Easily Access via East Lancs / M6 Purpose of job/mission: Management of problems and incidents in the ServiceNow platform. Installation and Configuration of IT Hardware Support the users, client equipment and local organisation via email, phone, remote access, or onsite. Support with day-to-day IT and network maintenance Close cooperation with Regional IT, Corporate IT and manufacturers. Communicate and supervise ALPLA policies and guidelines. This role will be based at our Golborne site, but will require ad hoc travel to other sites. Tasks & responsibilities: Support regional and local users with supervision, training and documentation. Log all incidents and requests within the managed ServiceNow platform. Support and troubleshoot the clients, mobile phones, tablets and peripheral (Windows OS, printers, scanners) devices. Support Microsoft Teams Telephony System. Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues pertaining to cabling and local area network. Introduction, operation and maintenance of locally needed IT systems Local user management (new user request, access control and permission, user retirement). Monitor and service standard ALPLA solutions provided by Corporate IT based on guidelines. Maintain clients and install updates regularly. Support and participate in projects Skills/Experience: Preferably up to 12 months experience within a 1 st line support role within a medium to large organisation Multi-Site experience would be distinct advantage (confident with remote access support) Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive and problem-solving approach to tasks.
