Responsibilities
* Oversee all financial operations within the division, including budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management.
* Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
* Lead the year-end close process, including the preparation and review of all financial statements and reports.
* Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
* Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
* Manage relationships with external auditors and other financial vendors.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or professional certification (such as CPA or CMA) is preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
* Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and general ledger management.
* Proven experience in leading the year-end close process.
* Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
* Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
* Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
