Reporting to the Director of Business Readiness and Delivery, the Business Readiness & Delivery Lead for our key Operations and In-force Client Management assets will play a crucial role in our transformation journey.
You will support the Director in executing strategy and prioritizing initiatives to improve and transform service delivery. This includes identifying and mitigating risks, removing impediments to delivery, and participating in the ongoing monitoring and reporting of goals and outcomes. You'll also collaborate closely with Directors of Business Readiness & Delivery, Product Owners, Technical Program Managers, and business stakeholders to drive transformation and support our ongoing Agile mobilization efforts.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Director to align tactical plans with strategic goals, maintaining a 12-month roadmap that tracks goals, objectives, initiative health, dependencies, and impediments.
2. Develop problem statements and high-level requirements with the Business Owner, ensuring stakeholder engagement and partnering with DBRD and HCD to create customer journey maps aligned with strategic objectives.
3. Support DBRD in quarterly planning and monthly management activities, such as status reporting and prioritization, while identifying and resolving cross-stream dependencies and systemic impediments.
4. Drive initiative delivery with stakeholders and IT, focusing on change management, risk identification, and business readiness, and manage User Acceptance Testing within the SAFe framework.
5. Lead readiness activities, including impact assessments and change management plans, create experience-related artifacts like Customer Journey Maps and maintain KPI reporting to evaluate customer journey touchpoints, ensuring participation in required training.
Required Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in agile methodology or project management
2. Experience working in the Life & Living Benefits Insurance industry; general business acumen with the skills to increase/mature business acumen
3. Strong knowledge of agile principles, project and program management tools, techniques, and methodologies and applications like Confluence, JIRA, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. SAFe or, PMP or, CSPO designation, Change Management experience and/or certifications considered an asset
2. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams/stakeholder groups
3. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
4. Anticipate, mitigate and manage issues/challenges to overcome obstacles to execution and delivery
5. Excellent verbal & written communication skills
6. Ability to influence and resolve conflict without having direct authority; confidence to raise issues as required
7. Ability to foster positive relationships and effectively lead various-sized groups to attain collaborative and innovative solutions; motivate, coach and mentor individuals and teams
8. Aptitude for change management; reprioritize conflicting workloads and deliverables

Salary range is expected to be between: $80,700.00 CAD - $145,260.00 CAD
