Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Part-time (Mornings only, 9am - 12pm) Location: Lancaster Salary: £18.05 per hour Contract Duration: Immediate start until May 2025 We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school in Lancaster. This role involves delivering interventions to Year 3, Year 4, and Year 5 students, working with small groups to enhance their learning experience according to the KS2 curriculum. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver targeted learning interventions to small groups of students in Years 3, 4, and 5. Work closely with teaching staff to follow and implement lesson plans and activities. Monitor and report on the progress of students. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Utilise a variety of educational techniques to cater to different learning needs and styles within the group. Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the overall learning experience of the students. Required Skills & Qualifications: Excellent knowledge of the Key Stage 2 (KS2) curriculum. Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or similar role. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a classroom setting. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other teaching staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and staff.
