About the Role
As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service while managing a varied portfolio of clients. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders in line with accounting standards.
* Reviewing and finalising accounts prepared by junior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Preparing corporation and personal tax computations and returns.
* Providing general accounting advice and assistance to clients, addressing queries promptly and professionally.
* Supporting junior team members through mentoring, training, and technical guidance.
* Assisting the team with bookkeeping and VAT returns when required.
* Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact to develop strong, long-term relationships.
Requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
* Experience in a similar role within a practice environment.
* A strong technical understanding of accounting and tax principles.
* Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, and Microsoft Office applications.
