Location: Nottingham Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Role Overview: As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the children’s home. Your primary focus will be ensuring the wellbeing, safety, and development of the children and young people in our care. You will lead a dedicated team of staff, oversee the delivery of care services, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislative requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all aspects of the children’s home, ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding of the young people. Manage and supervise a team of support staff, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and supported in their roles. Develop and implement care plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each young person. Ensure the home complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards, including Ofsted requirements. Monitor and review the performance of the home, ensuring continuous improvement and best practice. Liaise with external agencies, social workers, families, and other professionals to ensure that young people’s needs are met. Foster a positive and nurturing environment that promotes the welfare and development of the children and young people in our care. Manage budgets and resources efficiently to ensure the home runs effectively and sustainably. What We’re Looking For: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential. Significant experience in residential childcare and managing a children’s home, with a deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop a team. Experience in working with regulatory bodies, particularly Ofsted. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people, staff, and external agencies. A commitment to providing high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people in care.
