Position Summary: The Visual Analytics Specialist partners with a team of resources to deliver a Clinical Informatics solution to BIOMÉRIEUX customers delivering Lab Insights built upon an Advanced Analytics Platform and Infrastructure. Main Accountabilities: Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Technical Applications and Deployment, Health Information Solutions & Services, within the US Clinical Sales Organization, the Visual Analytics Specialist will successfully build a collection of Analytics Products, including but not limited to automated and interactive visual dashboards and statistical analysis which will inform and empower different stakeholders to measure performance and make near real-time decisions based on the insights provided within. Build interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards). Designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from different sources. Researching, designing, and testing machine-learning algorithms and programs. Refining assets based on feedback, ensuring their continuity of accuracy and functionality. Work under the guidance of the Clinical Antimicrobial Stewardship Team to advance the BIOMÉRIEUX Clinical Informatics solution. Enhance existing tools/offerings on an on-going basis to accommodate market and business needs. Gather, formulate, and escalate feedback from customers’ needs/requirements or market inputs to the appropriate teams. Studies and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, health informatics, public policy, public administration, public health, healthcare administration, statistics or a related field A minimum of two years of experience in data visualization Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in Access, Excel, SQL, and other data manipulation tools Strong critical thinking skills Understanding of health care administrative data Knowledge of health care terminology and use of diagnoses etc. Must be able to work independently, effectively multitask to meet deadlines and competing priorities in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders and partners Excellent visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with visual analytic tools. Creative vision, a passion for learning and willingness to adopt and share new ideas.
