You should expect to work a min of 3 days a week in Faslane in agreement with your Line Manager About the job Job summary About the job Short summary His Majestys Naval Base Clyde (HMNB Clyde) is home to the United Kingdoms Strategic Nuclear Deterrent, Astute Class Attack Submarines, and 43 Cdo Royal Marines. It is an operational support and maintenance base, within Navy Command and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites. HMNB Clydes primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This is achieved by ensuring at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year. RNAD Coulport is responsible for the storage, processing, maintenance and issue of the Trident Weapon System and the ammunitioning of all submarine-embarked tactical weapons. Branch Overview: Chief of Staff (COS) Directorate is responsible for coordinating Naval Base Commander (NBC) activity with stakeholders across the Naval Base. It will facilitate the strategic development of HMNBC, providing coherent long-term planning and site integration to optimise the delivery of outputs across the 'One Clyde and Stakeholders and community. The Capability Integration Manager (Dreadnought) will manage the development and implementation of the Clyde Dreadnought Readiness programme. This work will coordinate the capability integration activity required to ensure HMNBC is ready to operate HMS Dreadnought safely and securely. This is a new class of submarine, which is different in size, technological capability and infrastructure demands - The Change Implementation Manager (Dreadnought) will support Assistant Head Capability Integration (Dreadnought) as the focal point for Dreadnought change activity and will provide NBC with assurance that the Naval Base is on track to meet its change requirements. This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Job description What will the successful candidate be doing? The Capability Integration Manager (Dreadnought): Works to the Assistant Head Capability Integration (Dreadnought), supporting NBC's objectives for Clyde Dreadnought Readiness (CDR). Assisting in the delivery and development of the quarterly Dreadnought Readiness Review. Monitor progress of the CDR delivery plan, forecasting, risk, and mitigation activities to meeting objectives. Develop and deliver Management Information in line with HMNBC and CDR requirements. Manage and Review programme artifacts such as schedules, RAIDO and lessons to ensure delivery within the agreed tolerances and deadlines. Liaises with One Clyde Communications Team to ensure Dreadnought developments are widely understood and promoted across HMNBC. Manage the CDR stakeholder network across related areas and all Lines of Development. Develop an awareness of submarine operations and CASD if not already held. Person specification Who are we looking for? This post is suited to a person who will thrive on building, delivering and supporting the NBC Clyde Dreadnought Readiness programme. This individual will play a pivotal role in the Chief of Staff branch, supporting the delivery of change and improvement to rival most areas of Defence and even Other Government Departments. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, great team player and strong communicator who is able develop effective working relationships with a diverse stakeholder group. Essential Criteria: Experience of stakeholder management, planning, scheduling, and risk and issue management in a project delivery environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information. Ability to develop effective working relationships with a wide variety of people and operate as part of a multi discipline joint project team. Strong time management, with ability to prioritise tasks and manage conflicting demands within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
