This is an opportunity to join a busy team dealing with the ongoing welfare reform changes, verification and assessment of Housing Benefit & the Council Tax. This role is predominately a back-office role but will require at times to support our Customer Services Team to deal with customer enquiries either by face to face, via telephone or by email.
Please note this is a fixed term contract for 12 months working 37 hours per week.

About You
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge, and work experience:
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and be able to calculate means tested assessments using a computerised system.
* The candidate should also have the ability to make accurate and independent decisions and work well as part of a team.
* You will have good communication skills to be able to effectively deal with people over the telephone, face to face, email or in writing.
* You might already be undertaking this type of work or may wish to use it as an opportunity to develop new skills.
