Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is looking to recruit a warehouse supervisor due to internal promotion. The warehouse supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in warehouse operations and a passion for leading and developing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
2. Coordinate and oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
3. Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching to improve productivity and quality.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.
6. Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
7. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
8. Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Handle any operational issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.
10. Train new team members and support ongoing training and development for existing staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
2. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management practices.
3. Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
4. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
