We are offering an exciting 12-month fixed term contract at the Executive Office at Bristol City Council, a diverse and ambitious organisation with a key role in improving the lives of our residents.
As an Executive Assistant (BG9), you will make a valuable contribution by providing comprehensive administration support to either one or two Directors, enabling them to focus on delivering the objectives and priorities of their service.
You will be part of a friendly and dynamic team who play an important role at the centre of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities Of The Executive Assistant:
* Assisting the Director(s) in managing their inbox and diary to achieve their priorities.
* Managing internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Director(s).
* Formatting information for internal and external communication, such as agendas, emails, presentations and reports, on behalf of the Director(s).
* Keeping up-to-date with developments in your area of the council, and flagging any urgent or sensitive developments which might need immediate attention.
* Supporting visits, events, and meetings where required, including preparation of briefing papers, attending and taking notes as required and chasing progress.
You Should Apply If:
* You have a proven ability to manage a complex inbox and electronic diary.
* You have a proven ability to prioritise in a fast-paced office environment.
* You have experience of organising and supporting meetings or events, including minute/note-taking.
* You have an ability and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues.
We ask for a minimum of 3 days per week in City Hall.

For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.
For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
