Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Fusion Housing.
Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated, skilled and experienced leader with a passion for repairs and maintenance to oversee our supported and emergency accommodation provision across the Kirklees, Wakefield and Calderdale areas.
In this role you will lead a team of dedicated maintenance workers, cleaning technicians and administrators ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards in order to provide a safe and compliant service for all our residents.
Summary of Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Management: Schedule and prioritise maintenance tasks to ensure timely and effective service delivery and value for money.
* Compliance: Monitor the quality of work, ensuring compliance with all regulations and industry standards.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of maintenance staff and administrators, providing training and support to enhance their skills.
* Resident Support: Handle complaints and manage expectations, increasing resident satisfaction with property maintenance.
* Service Delivery: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports on team performance and compliance.
* Partnerships: Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and improve service efficiency.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a repairs and maintenance role, with a background in team management.
* Strong knowledge of property maintenance processes and relevant regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Knowledge of HHSRS, best practice in supported accommodation and a commitment to health and safety practices in respect of peripatetic working.
* Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
