We are looking for an Attendance and Admissions Officer to join our team. You will be supported through your initial induction by our current post holder, allowing a handover period so that you feel ready to take the role forward. This role is crucial in ensuring all students achieve their full potential by promoting and supporting regular school attendance.
The Role
To monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, analysing data to identify key areas of concern. To work closely with pupils, staff, parents and carers to reduce levels of absence, and act appropriately when persistent absence becomes a safeguarding issue.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly organised person to join a very busy team. You will be working with all stakeholders to ensure students attend school each and every day, in addition, you will contribute to the improvement of attendance processes and procedures.
Duties include:
* Track and monitor attendance of students and take steps to address persistent absence of students.
* Liaise with parents and carers regarding achievement, attendance and conduct.
* Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, positive conduct, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection. Reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
* Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals, in liaison with the appropriate staff, to support achievement and progress of pupils.
* Recording of SATS results and submitting to the local authority and DfE where appropriate.
Key Requirements
* GCSE Maths and English [C or above, or equivalent];
* Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.

Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school. Experience of working in a school office is not essential as full training will be provided.
