The Role
Joining the group commercial team, you will build analytics tools while tracking reporting and key performance metrics and delivering insightful recommendations on value delivered, forecasting, category and range, sales, where to manage waste better, where to increase prices and where there are opportunities to be had.
Career progression is heavily encouraged and both the Senior Commercial Manager and Commercial Director joined the organisation in years past, initially as a Commercial Analyst.
Specific examples of recent work include:
1. Utilise benchmarking and comparison techniques to identify and quantify commercial opportunities across brands/categories/locations.
2. Forecast customer behaviour and impact on sales and profit of changes e.g. menu changes, price changes etc.
3. Develop price proposals for the markets to support price increases or promotions and perform analysis to measure local pricing and commercial trials, using a mix of controlled experiment techniques.
The Individual
1. Experience in an analytically-based position, looking at commercial KPI’s, e.g. price, range, display and space, margin and category optimisation, customer behaviour.
2. Experience interrogating raw data to identify opportunities and measure impact.
3. Ability to deliver findings and recommendations persuasively to stakeholders.
