The post holder will continue the delivery of Spectrum's Safeguarding Strategy, working with key internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate that we deliver a comprehensive and safe effective service for the organisation, and the patients in our care. The Head of Safeguarding is required to ensure that all statutory, regulatory and performance requirements are fully met. They will support the Executive Director of Nursing and Quality to provide assurance to the Board and the Committees, that the services are well-led in respect to safeguarding.
By leading the Safeguarding Team (Named Professional for Adults and Mental Capacity Lead; Named Nurse for Children, Safeguarding Practitioner; Named GP for Safeguarding), the post-holder will be responsible for implementation, maintenance and development of effective and safe systems of work that support the operational teams to deliver their services.
These systems will provide the ways of working to detect, prevent, investigate and control the harm and abuse that may be experienced by our patients, and staff. Please refer to the job description for full details.
