We are now looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our Key Stage 1 pupils.
The Role:
We are seeking a full-time KS1 Teaching Assistant to work with our vibrant and friendly team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher, working with small groups of children, and providing one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs. You will help create a stimulating and positive learning environment where pupils can develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
2. Assisting with the delivery of phonics, reading, writing, and maths
3. Providing one-to-one and small group support for children, including those with special educational needs
4. Supporting children in their social and emotional development
5. Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
6. Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays
7. Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with young children, ideally within a school setting
2. A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
3. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
4. A good understanding of the national curriculum, particularly in Key Stage 1
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
6. A positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to help our pupils succeed
7. A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) would be advantageous
