Job Description
About the Role
The HSE Coordinator will support the development of the company’s HSE management system, safe systems of work and associated documentation. They will assist with monitoring the application of safe systems within the company and undertake inspections and audits, all aimed at ensuring full compliance with the company management systems and applicable legislation.
Responsibilities
* Conduct site HSE audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
* Support the incident investigation process (where applicable).
* Support safe system of work review – risk assessment, BASIX, and associated procedures.
* Assist with COSHH, Noise, and HAVS Risk Assessments.
* Collate and record Safety Observations, Interventions, and Start card data, and communicate to all departments monthly.
* Support collation of environmental data to align with the organisation's goals and objectives.
* Promote workforce engagement in all HSE activities, initiatives, and campaigns.
* Deploy and collate weekly and monthly workshop checks (Lifting, overhead crane, Equipment Checks).
* Produce statutory records as required.
* Update electronic systems, Q-Pulse, and IMS.
* Support collation of HSE statistics for various meetings.
* Assist with DSE Assessment completion.
* Support Emergency Response checks (First aid, Fire Marshal, Defib Including Oxygen).
* Attend various HSE-related meetings and take meeting minutes.
* Perform ad hoc general office activities.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent.
* Internal auditor qualification (Desirable).
* Formal Accident / Incident Investigation Training (Desirable).
Experience
* Strong knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Previous HSE experience in a related industry is desirable.
* Ideally experienced in hands-on operations/site-based HSE role but not essential.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.

* Good planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
* Competent in risk assessment and risk management.
* Proficient in the use of management systems.
* Self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
