PRACTICE MANAGER, MEDICAL

MAP is seeking a Practice Manager, Medical, to lead and manage clinical operations at a medical practice in the Windsor area. This is an exciting opportunity for a healthcare manager, or professional with a nursing or clinical background, who is ready to take on a leadership role in shaping the future of patient care.
As a key leader within our organization, the Practice Manager, Medical will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day management of a medical practice, ensuring clinical operations run smoothly, and driving best practices to deliver high-quality care. Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversee a group practice, including management of all staff, physicians, and administrative support staff.
* Coach, develop and train their staff to become exceptional members of the healthcare team that will help deliver exceptional patient care.
* Continuously analyze, improve, and standardize processes at the clinical level to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
* Create best practices and ensure accountability at all levels of the clinic they directly manage.
* Work with senior leadership on auditing clinical processes, suggest best practices, and make changes where needed to set up the clinic for success.
* Communicate directly with physicians to ensure their clinical support needs are being met, while striving for better and more effective ways of doing things.
* Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations flow at the practice, including scheduling, coordinating with the local hospitals surgeons work to deliver their clinical care, as well as other community partners/agencies.
* Review and verify employee timecards, ensuring accuracy, and complete payroll duties in a timely and efficient manner.
* Responsible for staying current on regulatory requirements from the CPSO, MOH, and other regulators in the medical industry.
* Analyze and collect key performance indicators, with a strong understanding of how to drive improvements through targeted initiatives.
Skills and Abilities:
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a healthcare environment, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
* Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and organizational leaders.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, drive process improvements, and adapt to changes in healthcare regulations, technology and patient care standards.
* Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of clinical operations, workflow optimization, and the integration of business strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications and tools.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Must be registered with a healthcare regulator, applicable in a medical setting - such as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and have a minimum of 5 years of working experience as a clinical healthcare professional with some management experience.
* OR must have a Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or any other related business management discipline, and a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in a clinical setting.
* Experience with Accuro will be considered an asset.
Work Environment:
* This is a full-time position.
* The Practice Manager will spend most of their time at the practice they manage but will also have time within our main office to work on strategic projects, professional development, and to collaborate with other practice managers.
