What you will be doing Managing the financial controls and reporting for BibliU Limited and BibliU Inc, this role reports to the Group CFO Financial Reporting and Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts/financial statements for the two companies and the Group consolidation Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and reporting Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts Identify financial trends and provide strategic insights Accounting Operations Prepare month-end accounts and VAT returns Ensure accurate bank and balance sheet reconciliations Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls Compliance and Audit Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards Coordinate and manage external audit processes Develop and implement internal financial policies Maintain high standards of financial record-keeping Team Leadership Manage and mentor the UK based finance team Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Provide guidance and support to team members Coordinate cross-departmental financial activities Must Have: Bachelor's or Master's degree Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Excel, Xero/Quickbooks, Netsuite, Fathom and similar) Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in financial management including group consolidations Requirements: Technical Skills Strong understanding of financial principles and procedures Excellent financial analysis and forecasting capabilities Comprehensive knowledge of UK financial regulations Experience Proven track record in financial reporting and accounting Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making Demonstrated leadership and team management skills Personal Attributes Exceptional attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Strategic thinking and proactive approach to financial management Willingness to work in a flexible way as the role requires Benefits: 35 holiday days per year - yep, that’s not a typo (pro-rata for temporary contract) Your birthday off 12 scheduled company wellness Fridays off per year ❤️ Enhanced maternity & paternity allowance ⏰ Flexible working hours - we’re a remote team spread across the US, the EU and UK Work-from-home allowance to help you set up your dream WFH station Cycle-to-work scheme (UK) A choice of health insurance cover by Vitality or Bupa We strongly encourage candidates of all different backgrounds, experiences and identities to apply.
