Our client is a 2 form entry Primary school Academy that is located in FY1 Blackpool. Their pupil body is 40% SEN so they are looking for qualified staff with experience of mixed range classes and prior SEN experience or learning difficulties knowledge. As a collective they are striving to produce well minded and conscientious pupils with strong behaviour management skills. There is a school car park and road parking available. This red brick primary is tucked away in a residential area just off the main road.
This primary requires a EYFS TA to support between November 4th - December 20th with potential to extend into the spring term. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30-3:30 term time. You will be within an EYFS unit and working as part of a team with a team leader/ teacher present. You must be able to stay active, alert and with high levels of energy, Previous EYFS experience is necessary.
Responsibilities
1. Preparation of resources and activities for the whole class, small group and 1:1 support.
2. Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
3. Collaborate with classroom teachers/ leader's to organise appropriate activities.
4. Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
5. Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
6. Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
7. Monitor and track the development of the pupil In question and support personal development and confidence.
Essential requirements
8. Experience of working with young people.
9. Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
10. Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
11. Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
12. Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
13. TA qualified.
