Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager!
We are seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to assist in the daily operations of our new nursery in Hemel Hempstead. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, demonstrating exceptional communication skills. This role involves assisting in the management of staff to ensure the smooth running of the setting. You will ensure the safety and well-being of the children is maintained within a stimulating learning environment at all times.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Lead, mentor, and support fellow nursery staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Develop and implement educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of all children.
* Build relations and communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
* Organise activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development in children.
* Engage in the local community to build and establish local partnerships.
* Ensure proper record-keeping for children's attendance, health, and development milestones.
* Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in nursery practices.
* Deputise for the Nursery Manager as required.
Skills
* Full and relevant Childcare qualification Level 3 required.
* Strong childcare and child development abilities with experience coordinating teams within a nursery setting.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Proven experience in childcare with a focus on early childhood education principles.
* Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* A passion for working with children and understanding their needs for growth and development.
* Commercial awareness to build occupancy and optimise cost efficiencies.
