A confectionary start-up have created a new role for a part-time Trade Marketing Manager THE COMPANY A growing confectionery start-up brand in Manchester launched a new product to market 2 years ago and have had great success with some major retailer listings. They’re looking to bring more elements of their Marketing in-house now they’re a little further on in their journey and have created a new role for a Fractional (Part-Time - 20hrs) Trade Marketing Manager to keep their plans on track and nudge the strategy where needed. They’re a small but growing non-corporate business based in a co-working space in the middle of Manchester City Centre. THE ROLE Communicate with retail partners to align on marketing goals, product launches, and promotional activities Collaborate with internal teams (Commercial, Sales, Finance, Ops) to ensure a cohesive marketing approach that integrates retailer marketing into broader plans Design and execute marketing campaigns and in-store activations that enhance brand visibility, drive consumer engagement, and increase sales within retail channels Plan and manage retailer-specific campaigns, including product launches, promotions, and seasonal activations Liaise with internal teams to align on product availability, inventory management, and promotional timelines to ensure smooth execution of marketing activities Conduct regular market analysis to understand consumer trends, competitive landscape, and retailer performance. Manage the storytelling and building awareness of the brand. Using brand partners content alongside encouraging content creation from customers. Keeping an eye on the market and competitor activity ABOUT YOU Their ideal candidate is an experienced Marketer with Food/FMCG experience who has worked in small start-up environments where there’s lots going on. THE REWARD In return, they’re offering £40,000 full time equivalent pro-rata'd to £21,333 for a 20-hour week. How those hours look over the working week can be discussed to suit you.
