Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Machining Tutor/Assessor at Rochdale Training. The role is to instruct, teach and assess learners who are completing machining units/apprenticeship standards. This includes both manual and CNC content.
Key Tasks
* To train and assess learners in all aspects of machining including milling and turning (both manual and CNC). This will include both practical and classroom sessions.
* To teach and assess specialist units in Engineering Operations (Knowledge) qualification. This includes Principles of turning and milling, Principles of CNC, safe working practices, communication skills and how to work efficiently and effectively.
* To complete awarding body documentation
* To encourage the learners until they are 100% confident in every task which is required
* To monitor and develop behaviours
* To promote Equality and Diversity and British Values.
* To be committed to the safeguarding/prevention and welfare of all learners
* Maintain and develop innovative training materials and methods.
* Embed Functional Skills
* Use the e-portfolio system to contribute to Rochdale Training’s VLE
* Support the learner in preparation for their EPA.
Experience
* You must have time served experience of manual milling and turning. CNC experience is desirable but not essential.
