ROLE PROFILE:
Multi-Utility Designer / Design Engineer
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing multi-utility designs to clients within the multi-utility & power sectors.
These will include scheme drawings, Single Line Diagrams and civil construction packages.
As this is a MU business, we would expect good knowledge of NRSWA, NJUG and various Statutory Undertakers requirements and guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Review of Site Investigations
* Understanding of Utility diversions
* Understanding of site constraints
* Draft of scheme drawings for construction or further investigations (2D and 3D)
* Design Construction packages (2D and 3D)
* Attendance at Utility Workshops (client and statutory)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED
* 5 years minimum working in the Multi Utility industry
* Thames Water/National Grid Gas/Telecommunication network knowledge
* Be able to draft scheme drawings in DWG and Civil 3D format
* Understanding of Single Line Diagrams and technical abbreviations/symbols
* Understanding of NJUG/NRSWA
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
REQUIRED
* HNC, HND or Degree within the civil engineering or construction engineering industry.
* Multi Utility Experience is key
* Proficient in AutoDesk software packages

The successful candidate must be willing to travel to sites across London & South East and throughout the UK as and when required for site meetings with stakeholders.
