A motivated, knowledgeable, experienced Clinical Service Manager is required to lead the Community Children’s Service within the Central Area Team in North Wales. The post is based in Denbigh children's Centre, and will link closely with other children’s services within the Central area and across North Wales.
The successful applicant will manage the children’s disability services and the neurodevelopmental services for the area.
A valid and relevant professional registration is required, as well as significant management experience at Band 7 or equivalent. A commitment to promoting the health and well-being of children and families is essential as well as a desire to continue to transform and lead our services.
Main duties of the job
1. The post holder provides clinical, professional and managerial leadership to the Children’s Service.
2. Effectively manage the budget and the allocation of resources for the service, with emphasis on performance, quality and resource utilization.
3. Support the Area Team in relation to strategic planning, clinical policy and governance, and management of clinical activity.
4. Support Assistant Area Director in making a corporate contribution in support of the Area Team’s overall objectives.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* NMC Registered nurse or other appropriate clinical profession with qualifications appropriate to the service area managed.
* Continued professional and management development.
* Relevant MSc/knowledge equivalent to Masters level in management.
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of mentoring, Assessing and/or teaching.
* Management qualification.
Experience

* Sufficient management experience at Band 7 or above.
* Relevant clinical experience.
* Child Protection/safeguarding knowledge/experience.
