An opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer has become available with one of our clients in Aberdeen. The main responsibility of the role is to manage the full project life cycle from first enquiry through to installation and commissioning. You will be responsible for the project budget, offshore or site project teams to successfully execute the project for the client.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify:
* Liaise & assist internally with the technical and commercial preparation of tenders and proposals.
* Attend upfront sales meetings with potential clients to offer technical assistance.
* Create site survey approval for expenditure and proposal
Qualify:
* Coordinate and attend visits to rigs, sites and installations offshore and internationally as required for survey purposes.
* Liaise with rig/installation personnel regarding the utilities required for equipment on board.
* Measure and evaluate existing rig equipment as necessary.
* Make sketches and collate information as required.
Prepare:
* Prepare Project costing sheet.
* Develop Project mobilisation & installation plans in conjunction with Global Projects & Asset Manager.
* Hold kick off & regular project update meetings internally & externally.
* Prepare Installation Workpack & brief installation crews prior to mobilising
Mobilise:
* Demonstrate and promote adherence to HSEQ guiding principles.
* Coordinate & manage the installation phase of projects from the site / or offshore to ensure successful installation within project parameters and to customer satisfaction.
* Supervise installations offshore and at site with overall responsibility for the installation phase & handover to Operations.
Close / Demobilise:
* Complete Post Job brief, lessons learned & handover to Local operations team.
* Ensure NAVISON is up to date & all aspects closed.
* Develop demobilisation plan & Workpack for Operations team to execute.
* Review & Close AFEs.
Requirements:
* Degree/HNC/HND Level or equivalent in Technical or HSEQ discipline.
* Competent with Microsoft Project.
* Background & experience in a project engineering/ management role within the oil and gas sector.
* Ability to read and understand relevant legislation/ regulations.
* Knowledge of mechanical & electrical equipment certification requirements for the Oil & Gas sector.
* Knowledge of temporary mobile Equipment.
* Ability to travel offshore/overseas when required.
* Competent in reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
* DNV 2.7-1 knowledge.
* ATEX and CE knowledge.
