Do you have an interest in working in specialist dietetics?
We have a new rotational opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our supportive inclusive dietetic department. The post will be based at Royal Derby Hospital. You will be an integral part of our flexible and friendly team supported by our experienced specialist dietitians and dietetic assistants.
You will be involved in the delivery of a comprehensive and effective evidence based dietetic service.
On a 12 month rotational basis areas you will start in one of the following:
* Oncology - chemotherapy, radiotherapy, outpatients and acute oncology/heamatology/palliative inpatients.
* Acute Nutritional support - predominantly enteral feeding including critical care and stroke.
* Upper and lower GI surgical - cancer and non-cancer inpatients including high-dependancy, surgical outpatient clinics.
* Gastroenterology - including luminal gastroenterology and hepatology specialities within inpatient setting. Plus support for outpatient Coeliac service delivery.
Main duties of the job
You should have experience of acute adult dietetics. You will have regular clinical supervision and access to relevant training.
The wider team cover 5 hospital sites and the community.
The posts will vary depending on which rotation you are working in. The organisation emphasises the importance of multidisciplinary working to deliver excellent care.
The department consistently delivers high-quality care, with opportunities to develop your CPD.
We have an established training programme for student dietitians and apprenticeships with Coventry, Nottingham and Sheffield universities.
