Location: Keyworth, Nottingham or Swindon (Hybrid working available including 2 days a week in the office)

Key Responsibilities
1. Management of a team of 15+ staff across multiple locations
2. Leadership & professional development of Enabling Technologies function
3. Ownership and delivery of the Enabling technologies roadmap
4. Champion the continued adoption of communities of practice & centres of excellence relevant to areas of responsibility
5. Ensure alignment with the security and architecture teams with respect to implementation of security controls and architectural principles
6. Deputise for Deputy Director Technology Services as required
7. Proactively develop and maintain the strategic relationship with UK SBS and strategic delivery partners with respect technology areas of responsibility
8. Contribute to the formulation of strategic plans to ensure that the Technology Services function is delivering in line with UKRI strategic objectives
9. Work constructively with relevant stakeholder groups to plan, support and implement organisational and business process change in support of performant, cost effective IT Service Delivery
10. Stay abreast of relevant industry trends and new technologies, making a case to incorporate within the estate where appropriate
11. Develop effective network with peer group, UKRI Group IT colleagues, DSIT and wider agency community
12. Balance score card & KPI dashboard reporting for function to senior stakeholder community
13. Determine strategic, operational and financial plans for area of responsibility.
14. Management of in-year Enabling Technologies budget, identifying and delivering efficiencies through consolidation and realising economies of scale.
Essential Skills, Qualifications And Experience
1. Experience of delivering & leading a technology orientated function, servicing multiple locations in a public, or private sector setting (S&I)
2. Solid project management skills with the ability to produce compelling business cases and/or project delivery where required (I)
3. Experience of working directly with senior IT & business stakeholders, with the capability to communicate technology terminology to non-IT literate senior business partners (I)
4. Experience of budget management in excess of £1m (S&I)
5. Comfortable with ambiguity & able to operate highly effectively in a fast paced, changing environment (I)
6. High level of professional credibility with the influencing skills required to develop strong alliances and partnerships both internally and externally (I)
7. Strong organisational and planning skills (S&I)
8. Excellent inter-personal & communication skills (I)
9. Working knowledge of ITIL (S)
10. Working with strategic delivery partners to drive value and performance with respect delivery of enabling technology related services (S&I)
11. Proven procurement and commercial skills (S)
12. Degree qualification or equivalent experience. (S)
