Job Title: Purchasing Administrator
Location: Wirral
Salary £ 35k
Full Time 8.30am to 4.30pm
3-4 Month Contract
Job Purpose:
To support the organization in sourcing and procuring goods and services efficiently and cost-effectively, while also providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing Duties:
Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, goods, and services according to the company’s requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Evaluate supplier performance and manage contracts or price agreements.
Monitor stock levels and place orders as necessary to avoid shortages or overstock.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any delivery or quality issues.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
Support budget control by tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Administrative Duties:
Handle general office administration tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
Process purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinate meetings, schedules, and correspondence as required.
Assist with internal communication between departments.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Support compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Proven experience in a purchasing or administrative role (2+ years preferred).
Experience in procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Carry out internal audits as scheduled to ISO9001 standards
Strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes is an advantage.
3 – 4 month contract could be a temp to perm role if meet the needs of the business.
