Position Summary:
To work within the Product Assurance Services & Solutions department as part of a team to assist with the preparation, inspection and repacking of products following the protocol and procedures set out in the quality manual for the department. The inspection process will cover aspects of the value chain, a focus on food safety and quality improvement for the site in line with the requirements of the Food Safety Legislation, regulatory legislation and Divisional strategic growth plan.
Responsibilities:
As an Inspection Operative, you will:
1. Conduct detailed inspections of products to ensure they meet strict quality standards.
2. Identify, remove and report any defects or inconsistencies in a timely manner.
3. Work collaboratively with the PASS team to meet the fast-paced high demands from our customers.
4. Work with the inspection team to include the preparation of products ready for inspection, the inspection and re packing of products post inspection.
5. Operate inspection equipment and ensure it is accurately calibrated.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
7. Strictly adhere to safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
1. Proven experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a production environment.
2. Outstanding attention to detail and a sharp ability to identify inconsistencies.
3. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to successfully implement solutions.
5. Basic understanding of inspection tools and equipment.
6. Dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
8. High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional training or certifications in quality control are a plus.
