Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Non-Destructive Test Technician 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Europe (OCONUS).
Responsibilities include:
1. Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on aircraft engines or components.
2. Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasonic, penetrant, eddy current, shearography, thermography and magnetic particle.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 2 years of 5th gen aircraft Non-Destructive Test experience.
2. Able to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or close spaces.
3. Must be willing to work any shift, overtime or non-standard work schedule.
4. An active DoD Secret Clearance.
5. Must have the ability to obtain Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Certification in Multiple Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Disciplines.
2. 2 Year degree/certification from NDI Training Institution.
3. Prior field or military experience performing NDI on 5th gen military aircraft.
4. Mobile Automated Ultrasonic System experience.
Salary Range: $48,200 - $80,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
