Job Description: School Cleaning Staff - Epworth Hours:Monday to Friday 6:30 am - 8:30 am 2:40 pm - 5:10 pm Total: 22.5 hours per week Includes working during school holidays Key Responsibilities: Organize and carry out all allocated work to meet cleaning requirements. Undertake necessary training and instruction for cleaning staff. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and work in accordance with safe working practices. Cleaning Duties: Rooms: Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenish bathroom supplies. Polish metalwork, including fixtures and fittings. Floors: Sweep, mop, vacuum floors using brushes, mops, vacuum cleaners, and automated floor polishers. Additional tasks may include scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors. Dusting: Dust furniture, equipment, partitions, etc. Waste Management: Empty waste bins and recyclables, transporting them to the disposal area. Cleaning Carpets & Upholstery: Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner. Wash walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc. Litter Picking: Perform litter picking internally and externally. Movement of Equipment: Handle movement of equipment specific to the role. General Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness of the entire site, including toilets and recreational areas. Incident Management: Handle and clean spillages, sickness, and other incidents. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, students, visitors, and any other relevant personnel. Additional Responsibilities: Carry out any other duties in line with the responsibilities of the role. Comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
