Up to £15 per hour depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Assistant (HCA) Band 3 to work within the Nuffield Leicester Children's and Young People's Services.
The role will involve working on the day-case unit, working alongside the registered nurses. There will also be opportunities to work within the Outpatient Departments.
As a Child & Young People Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients, you will:
1. Make and change beds, general housekeeping duties
2. Talk with children and parents to help them feel less lonely and anxious
3. Distract children during procedures such as blood collection
4. Perform observations and early warning scores and escalate when necessary
5. Document patient care such as fluid balance and observations of temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and respirations
6. Phlebotomy skills and competency for ECG tests, will also be an advantage
The main duties will be carried out under the direction of a professionally qualified practitioner and can include the tasks listed above.
You will need to demonstrate evidence of current/previous experience in working with CYP.
