We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Lecturer to join our UCN team on a fixed term basis.
The successful candidate will lead, manage and deliver our Higher National Electrical/Electronic Engineering programmes. You will be proactive in the day-to-day management, quality processes and long-term development of the curriculum, as well as ensure the effective organisation and delivery of modules to the requirements of the awarding institution. The programmes sit inside the UCN’s highly successful engineering degree apprenticeship provision, so the successful candidate will have strong organisational and collaborative skills.
Criteria
1. Degree or Level 6 in Engineering subject.
2. Previous teaching (Level 4-6) / training experience is essential.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
1. Proficient use of Multisim, ELVIS III & development boards
2. Proficient use of electrical/ electronic hardware
3. Presentation/teaching/Classroom management skills
4. Ability to liaise with students, staff and employers
5. Ability to keep abreast of current developments in IT
6. Able to write assessments which incorporate literacy and numeracy standards.
