BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW IBD Legal provides high-quality, value-added legal advice and assistance on all aspects of ECM, DCM, M&A and loans transactions across the UK, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. While based in Birmingham, the successful candidate will be a key member of the wider Investment Banking Legal team based in London and Frankfurt, and will play a key oversight role for our analyst and summer intern population who are transitioning to Birmingham in the near term. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities will include preparation, negotiation and execution of advisory, M&A and other IBD engagement letters and similar documentation with room for the right candidate to potentially expand the role to include negotiation of other transactional documentation. The role will entail significant interaction with IBD Legal, based in London and Frankfurt, as well as with clients across the investment banking teams and other key stakeholders across the firm (conflicts, compliance, tax, litigation, business intelligence, etc.) in a collegiate, fast moving and dynamic transactional environment.
