Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our team at Clearfield Envirotech.
The Quality Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the materials received, processed, and dispatched meet the highest standards of quality. This individual will oversee quality checks on incoming recycling materials, monitor the reprocessed pellets, and conduct quality testing to guarantee customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection of Incoming Materials:
Verify that bales and materials received at the depot align with purchase specifications.
Document discrepancies and collaborate with the Sales Team and Goods In team to resolve quality issues.
Monitoring Production Quality:
Ensure the quality of reprocessed pellets meets internal and customer specifications.
Perform in-process checks to identify and address issues during production.
Testing and Analysis:
Conduct regular quality tests on reprocessed pellets.
Use testing equipment to measure properties such as density, color and contamination levels.
Quality Assurance Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of quality checks, testing results, and deviations.
Generate reports for internal use and provide feedback to the production team.
Inspect the quality of pellet loads for our customers.
Inspect Export loads to ensure the correct material is being loaded.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and work with the operations team to enhance product quality.
Recommend changes to enhance material handling, processing, and final product consistency.
Customer Interaction:
Collaborate with the sales team to address customer feedback and quality-related inquiries.
Ensure products meet the specific requirements of customers to foster long-term relationships.
Requirements:
Proven experience in quality control, preferably in a recycling or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of recycling materials and reprocessed plastic pellets.
Proficiency with quality testing tools and equipment.
Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical data and specifications.
Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in the recycling industry.
