Role Summary The role of Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the distribution, maintenance, and calibration of all medical equipment across the Optima Health clinical estate. This also includes consumables and PPE where relevant. Equipment should be provided and delivered on time to prevent delays and cancellations. You will also be required to monitor stock levels to ensure that any requirements are procured and made available as required. Main Duties and Responsibilities Manage equipment requests received and ensure they are actioned and dispatched in time for clinic delivery. Manage the dispatch of vaccines and blood equipment using daily reports and additional requests to ensure all clinics are covered. Manage and track Issues to find ways to reduce occurrences of failure and any negative clinical impact. Ensure fridge temperatures are checked every morning to make sure that they all function within cold chain temperatures. Order vaccines and blood equipment in line with demand. Dispose of spoiled vaccines returned to the hub and maintain accurate records. Manage consumable requests, ensuring validity, and issue in time for when required. Maintain the equipment log. Conduct equipment checks and cleaning prior to every dispatch. Maintain calibration records and ensure calibration is arranged in advance of expiry dates. Order PPE stock in line with demand. Contribute to quarterly stock check of equipment onsite to ensure the log is correct and equipment is working. Work closely with the Resource Planners and Schedulers to proactively identify “hot spots” and take appropriate actions to minimise any impacts.
