JOB PURPOSE The Network role is a key contributor to the AtlasEdge value proposition with the Network ecosystem underpinning the service offering of the Data Centre. The Director, Networks is responsible for the two key aspects of the function: firstly the management, growth and integration of this ecosystem within AtlasEdge and secondly, the product and processes management of our Network offering to connectivity partners and customers. The Director, Networks will work with ISPs, Tier 1 Networks, Internet Exchanges, SDNs, Fiber providers and local connectivity providers to provide services in all AtlasEdge Data Centres. They will work collaboratively with the commercial team to understand the connectivity requirements of customers and use this information to support business cases for these required connectivity providers to enter the site. The Director, Networks will also work collaboratively with other functions around the business such as Marketing, Commercial, Client Services and Operations to drive and grow these relationships. They will understand the connectivity landscapes such as routing maps and fiber routes to support entry into the Data Centre and overcome and issues that may arise. They will draft and maintain an up to date carrier list, documenting all connectivity options for customers within a site, and work with the connectivity partners to continually enhance the service options available at the site. The Director, Networks will be responsible for both the product that AtlasEdge offer within the Data Centre for connectivity customers, and how we sell the connectivity ecosystem as a product to the other customers. They will work with stakeholders around the business to drive connectivity business to AtlasEdge, and ensure we have a suitable suite of network products available. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic Management of the Connectivity ecosystem. Creation of both a European and local target ecosystem list. The International, Regional and Local Networks, ISPs, Internet Exchanges and SDNs that should be targeted in each location. Develop and maintain relationships with all connectivity companies in the target list, working with them and the AtlasEdge commercial function to secure deployments in all locations. Work with existing ecosystem customers to enhance the current services offered in the site. Create and manage a European wide carrier list, including all available connectivity customers in each site and the services offered. Work collaboratively with AtlasEdge marketing function on a regular cadence of marketing activities with the connectivity customers. Activities including: Press releases, joint events, marketing emails, white papers, case studies, industry events. Work with the hyperscalers and other strategic customers to understand connectivity and network requirements, using this insight to develop the roadmap for the ecosystem evolution. Support the site acquisition team with insight and due diligence on carrier presence and network intelligence for new site acquisition. Commercial Team Support: Support sales team with connectivity and networking expertise during the sales process. Provide support to the Relationship Management team on connectivity discussions during Business Reviews with key customers. Work with the connectivity target list to generate opportunities for deployments in AtlasEdge sites, working alongside the commercial lead to win the opportunity. Conduct regular training for the commercial function on the connectivity options for customers within the ecosystem. Network Product Management: Alongside the Product Management team, create and manage a portfolio of products for connectivity customers within AtlasEdge. Inclusive of: Live and Passive racks, duct access, cross connects and pre-cabling, structured cabling. Work with stakeholders on promotions and mechanisms to land the connectivity customers within the AtlasEdge sites. Alongside the Product Management team, create and manage a resale product of connectivity services for customers who want to buy colocation and network as one. Work with connectivity providers to understand network routes, fiber entry points etc and produce documentation to support customers and the internal stakeholders Evaluate a future AtlasEdge network product. Process Management : Work with the required stakeholders on Network and Connectivity processes. Work closely with Site Operations to ensure sites are managed in line with ways of working and principles. Work closely with Service Operations to ensure all connectivity and networking products are supported through the Service Desk Work closely with Sales Operations and Commercial leadership on incentives and processes for AtlasEdge sales selling the AtlasEdge connectivity ecosystem. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS: Degree or similar qualification in Networking or Engineering desirable. Relationships with key networks, ISPs, SDNs and Internet Exchanges Experience of building Network and Connectivity ecosystems. Experience of business development within Network and Connectivity industry SKILLS & ABILITIES: Network Product Management Expert knowledge of networking and technologies. Knowledge and experience of colocation data centres, fiber entry and meet me rooms, and the contribution of the connectivity ecosystem to the facility. Knowledge and experience of the integration between data centres, networks and platforms (including cloud). Experience in design, implementation and project management of network infrastructure. Experience and expertise in product creation and management. From design, to implementation and process/document creation.
