To lead and deliver the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to surgical wards through a team approach across the service. To develop a comprehensive set of Clinical Pharmacy KPIs to provide assurance on the quality and effectiveness of the clinical pharmacy service within pharmacy and to the wider trust. To lead on clinical service development and providing support to the wider trust initiatives regarding medicines as well as working with other colleagues such as the MSO, antimicrobial pharmacist and education lead pharmacist. To act as a senior leader within the pharmacy department, deputising for the Chief/Deputy Chief pharmacist as required To provide leadership and supervision and mentoring to Foundation Pharmacists and Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacists To act as a line manager and educational supervisor Undertaking research, audits and development activities in Medicines Optimisation, Prescribing and Pharmacy practice, to help ensure continual progression of services and ensure that Nationally agreed targets are reached.
