As a Field Service Mechanical Fitter, you will predominately be located at Hinkley Point C (HPC) New Build Project in Somerset, UK, as part of a team who will work on the largest steam turbine new build in the world. There are many opportunities for developing new skills and experiences throughout the project, with great potential to progress individual career paths. The installation consists of 2 x 1750 MW Arabelle Steam Turbines & Generators.
There is potential for further opportunities to travel to power plants in the UK and worldwide to support our internal and external customers with installation, stripdown, inspection, maintenance activities, and reassembly of power units and their auxiliaries on units ranging from 2MW through to 2000MW.

This position requires technical competency in reading and interpreting engineering documentation, technical & quality instructions, and engineering drawings. Knowledge of steam turbines and generator technology is desired, but consideration will be given to experience within the power industry and large-scale construction projects.
Main Responsibilities
* Follow appropriate Arabelle Solutions policies, procedures, and complete necessary documentation.
* Provide technical support for installation and preventative/corrective maintenance on customer equipment, maintaining all models of specific equipment in the assigned area.
* Identify customer equipment issues.
* Interpret engineering drawings.
* Maintain communication with customers as directed to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to strong customer relations and ongoing customer satisfaction.
* Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area.
* Develop strong customer relationships and serve as an interface between the customer and Arabelle Solutions.
* Comply with integrity and compliance guidelines, promote a safe working environment, and ensure compliance with applicable EHS policies and procedures.
* Understand aspects of mechanical engineering measuring techniques to very high tolerances.
* Work under strict foreign material exclusion rules.
* Contribute to the work process, questioning attitude, and briefings.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Travel to and from projects will be required.
Required Qualifications
* Recognised time-served apprenticeship or equivalent recognised training qualification (e.g., Improvership).
* City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in mechanical studies.
* Knowledge of large rotating and static machinery.
* Knowledge of large steam turbine and generator installation and overhaul.
* Basic IT literacy required.
* Fluent in the English language.
