We have a current opportunity for a Technical Support on a contract basis to join our clients ongoing project at Hinkley Point C Nuclear Station.

Rate: £350-£420pd dependant on experience
Experience: Nuclear experience is not essential but is highly desirable
Clearance: Active BPSS is highly desirable
Job description:
The Technical Support person is the technical referent on HPC site for a specialist doors installation contract. The candidate will be the clients representative on site, and will assist the Installation Contractor and/or the Customer in case of queries regarding the installation and the commissioning of the doors.
The candidate will be supported by the clients engineering team in France, and will display a good knowledge on the processes to install specialist products.
Duties and responsibilities:
Technical
1. To understand the installation methodology for the doors and also the control of the installation conformity.
2. To be able to read technical drawings and technical notices related to the equipment.
3. To support the installation contractor and/or NNB in case of technical questions.
4. To support the installation contractor and/or NNB in terms of installation methodology and in case of proposal to modify installation methodologies.
5. To support the installation contractor and/or NNB during the checks and controls of installation conformity.
6. To attend the commissioning of doors upon request from NNB.
7. To communicate with client team in France in case of technical questions, and perform technical analysis.
8. To provide a weekly report of the activities performed during the week to client and the customer.
Safety and Environment / Quality
1. To respect the safety rules in regard of the Hinkley Point C environment.
2. To know the safety rules in regards of the installation methodology for the doors.
3. To know CFSI rules.
Training
For this position, a training period of two full weeks at the clients Headquarters in Schaeffersheim FRANCE, is planned prior to the start of the position on HPC site. #J-18808-Ljbffr
