We are seeking an experienced professional to teach Airport Operations to a group of 10 adult apprentices. This would be a short-term role for two months and would be teaching at the college 4 days per week and 1 day per week at the airport with airport staff taking the lead on the delivery. The course will run for 8 weeks and it is anticipated this will start on 3rd March, with the successful candidate starting a week before to allow for preparation. It is also proposed that course will run through the Easter break (excluding bank holidays).
This course has been developed with Farnborough Airport to meet local needs and will include units on Airport H&S, Security, Airport Customer Service and Airport Operations. Applicants would need to be qualified to at least a Level 3 as it is a bespoke course based on a level 3 course award, which will include the following units:
1. Unit 1 The UK Aviation Industry
2. Unit 2 Customer Service in the Aviation Industry
3. Unit 3 Recognise Airside H&S Hazards in the Aviation Industry
4. Unit 4 Security in the Aviation Industry
5. Unit 5 Support flight control operations
6. Unit 6 Ground Handling
7. Unit 7 Fire and Rescue
Previous teaching experience is not essential. Passing on your knowledge and experience to future talent can be hugely rewarding and gives you the opportunity to shape the future of your industry’s workforce.
